With the exceptionally hot weather, please consider when and where you are walking your dogs as it is very likely to hot for them to be outside currently.

Importantly, if you see any dogs that are suffering please call us. Especially if you see any dogs locked in cars for any length of time whilst you're out. 

The Animal Welfare Act 2006 gives police a power to take any reasonable steps we believe we need to in order to stop an animal suffering - this includes breaking a window to rescue an overheating dog.
